Good morning all.
As you all know, or more than likely have guessed, we have a bit of a crush on our fellow Glasgow Wedding Collective members..
Already having bloggered on about the lovely Euan McWhirter, Roots and Fruits, AM wedding films, Cup Couture and, just the other day, the inspiring Three Sisters Bake. We have actual love for the GWC and all the suppliers involved and will be blogging our way through them all over the coming weeks. (Peepers peeled for a bloody exciting GWC collaboration coming up soon… Oh My Eek).
But I need to share this lovely lady and her vintage wares before I go any further. This is Miriam, of La Belle Epoque. (swoon swoon).
This lady goes rooting for old bits and bobs and then cleverly makes new things from them. Beautiful things for us brides-to-be (or non-bride-y frosting-loving gurls) to sparkle in on our w-days (or just every-days) to come.
Turning antiques into reworked, one off pieces. She’s like a vintage accessory wizard. And we love her.
This next one I have a particular fondness for…. Miriam picked it out for me to adorn my barnet with on my first wedding dress-trying-experience.. and oh so well it went (unfortunately Mr D accidentally saw the evidence of said dress, with me in it, so it can’t be the one. Fat oops).
Isn’t it lovely??!! As are these more spangly creations..
From headbands and tiaras, to dainty little hair pins and detailed combs.. you will find your something old AND new in one cunningly reworked piece of vintage frippery.
And bespoke? La Belle Epoque can do. If your noggin is full of your own ideas, you cant find what your looking for anywhere, your dress cries out for something specific… just ask Miriam! She’ll work with you to source and then design a one-off just for you. I’m telling you… WIZARD.
Who doesn’t like a pretty, antique-loving wizard?
And for all you Be blog readers… Miriam is offering 15% off when you purchase any of her wares (told you she was lovely) …
just mention us “Be Eventful”.
