Hopes for a missing sailor.

Sunday again.
And this one is full of thoughts and hopes for a young man called Timmy, who I went to High School with.  He is a leading Seaman in the Royal Navy.

And he is missing.

Missing in Dubai.

Its been one week since he was reported missing from his ship, the HMS Westminster, which was docked in Port Rashid until Thursday. Timmy never returned to the ship after a night out on shore.  He was last seen by friends, who put him in a taxi at around 2am on Sunday 27th May, to take him home to the ship.  They had been at the Rock Bottom Bar, in the area of Deira, around fifteen minutes from the Port.
He never got back to the ship.

So far, there have been no records of him in any hospital or police station and no sightings.

Timmy is 27 years old.  He is married, with two young children.  And his wife is pregnant with their third child.

They are desperately worried, and are appealing to the people of Dubai and the ex-pat community to help find Timmy.
A facebook group, Bring Timmy Home, has been started to spread the word, and a Twitter appeal, #bringtimmyhome, will hopefully raise a huge amount of awareness.  Please, if you are a tweeter.. tweet this.

His wife, Rachael, will be making an appeal on ITV tomorrow morning at 7.15am.

Please have hopes for Timmy.
Hope he is found.  Safe.
