be at work

September.

A month of big days..

September, it was big.  Big for Be.
We grafted, we crafted, we chatted, we conjured, we organised, we prettified, we stressed and we problem-solved.  And we carried lots of logs.  Lots and lots of logs. {This will make sense a little later in the tale….}

We loved ideas of Autumn and colour and pattern and inspiring things..

And we pin pin pinned here along the way.

We had pleasures of working at some new favourite hotel-wedding venues….
The Savoy Park Hotel, Ayr
&
The Dalziel Park Hotel, Motherwell,
where the staff were friendly and welcoming and helpful, and the weddings were lovely, pretty and fun.
Be loves a good, friendly venue, so we do.  And we will definitely be recommending these hotels to you hotel-wedding-havers.

Some new brides booked for 2013 and exciting meetings and lots of ideas and how-to-chats were had last month also.. and Be are excited to say that changes are afoot…  With lots of plans and new ideas, Be Eventful is progressing and changing, and the sister and I are most cheery about the thoughts of it.  Autumn is sure making us feel inspired…

So.. along with these loveliest of weddings, meetings and exciting plannings, September also saw our biggest event to date….

The So Precious Charity Ball.

And we were so happy to be involved in such an amazing event.. Let me tell you..

So Precious is a registered charity, dedicated to supporting Neonatal and Maternity care in Forth Valley.  Founded and run by a close-knit group of volunteers, the So Precious team are a very inspiring bunch.   Each trustee, and the founder herself, have had life-changing, personal experiences with Forth Valleys Neonatal Unit and care deeply about the cause.  Working extremely hard to make a difference to the Neonatal and Maternity services provided in the Forth Valley area, every penny they raise goes towards buying much needed equipment for the unit and providing support to staff, carers and the families using these services.

When we first met Alison and the So Precious team, we were really inspired {really really} by their work and dedication, and so when they got in touch and asked for our help with the creating and organising of a fundraising ball, we were over-chuffed, and a just tad excited…

Having seen a painting {by artist Ann Tocoda} inspired by So Precious, of a pretty little fairy sat in front of a deep blue sky..

Let’s make a midnight enchanted garden, we said….

And we did.

On the 28th September, the very lovely Doubletree by Hilton Dunblane Hydro hotel was transformed and The So Precious Midnight Enchanted Ball was held.
A huge £15,000 was raised on the night and the money is going to buy a host of new, super-dooper, top-of-the-range, baby-saving equipment for the Forth Valley Neonatal unit.
An amazing result.

With some great suppliers {more on them at a later date}, lovely photographers, a gorgeous venue, 290 lovely guests, food, music, dancing and a perfect team of people to make it all happen.. It really was a great great night, and one we are really proud to have been a part of.

Keep all peepers peeled for the official photographs from our lovely friend Kristin of Struve Photography…. we’ll be blogging them very soon…

Can. Not. Wait.

Sunday love,
Be x
