{Inspiration} A glass jar of tweed at a castle..

Merry Monday to you all!!

Back at our desks with happy faces and an organised inbox.  Hoo-ruddy-ray!
And starting our blog year with our favourite collaboration {other than the wedding of me and Mr D of course} of 2013……

Scottish wedding inspiration

scottish wedding inspirationOur Glass Jar Photography meets Be Eventful inspiration shoot.
Whoopa!
What a meet it was….

We were inspired by our friends across the water, Whitney and Bethany of Glass Jar, who have love for our Scottish style, the landscapes, the buildings, our heritage, and most importantly, the castles…. and who were flying across said water to shoot with us…
And so, we gathered together our ideas, some of the best suppliers in town and a few from out yonder… Bundled ourselves together in a big old Scottish house, one fairly bright (ish) day back in April last year…

And this is what came of it.

We were so pleased to have our work featured on two such amazing blogs, so we were.  And if you didn’t see it first time round.. We’d love to have you go for a gander now.
And since both blogs did such a perfect job of showing these images off to the world… I’m instead going to show you some behind the scenes stuff….

We made fast friends over that couple of days.  Those Alabamians {?} are darn good at their job, and michty fine to get to know.

Be sure to check out their take on the shoot over on the Glass Jar blog.

And, because I like taking pictures too…
Here are a few of my own images from behind the scenes that day:
{excuse the dull, squinty, far less whimsical look of these.. I ain’t no Glass Jar gal}

Such a pleasure.

I’m not going to ramble on like I usually do.  The pictures are enough for this one.  I could tell you all the funnies from that couple of days… but that would be unprofessional.  So I won’t 😉
Just be sure to click on the links for Ruffled, Love My Dress and Glass Jars blog….
They’ve said it all.  Perfectly, too.

Big thanks, and hard high fives to our super-special models 😉 and all the bloomin’ marvelous suppliers:
Rowanjoy for the swoony wedding dresses,  Country Pursuits for the tweed and outdoor togs,  Sorelle for hair and make up magic (and some crown-making, wink wink), Euan McWhirter for the gorgeous spangly bits, Stirling Weddings for the use of that lovely big home, Stirling Castle, and, of course,  Whitney and Bethany of Glass Jar Photography.

Here’s to you all, and a 2014 full of inspiring people.

xx
